About Cucina della Terra

At Cucina Della Terra, in a pastoral area of Umbria near Lake Trasimeno, we believe that good feelings begin in the kitchen. Imagine a long table, spiced with lively conversation among a group of people, many of who started out as strangers. With a maximum of 15 students, our classes allow for food enthusiasts to mingle and share their passion for cooking.

In our cooking classes, you will prepare authentic Italian regional cuisine using cooking techniques that are indigenous to Italian culture. Cucina Della Terra insures that you will be an active participant, not just a spectator at a demonstration. At Cucina della Terra, you are the vacationer, the student and the cook. You will then return home with all of your newly acquired skills and recipes that you can replicate in your personal kitchens.

Our cooking vacations meld the old with the new. You will be transported back in time on our culinary tours to historical cities and towns. You will experience age-old traditions, which make Italy a unique cultural site. We have organized a series of unique food oriented experiences along with dining experiences at handpicked restaurants and trattorias that exemplify updated classics along with rustic Italian cooking.
